Men impregnated by the Holy Spirit,

With the very words of our God,

Written and preserved so well, that when we hear it,

We know it’s from where angles trod.

Devotees so infused with its truth and power

They gave their lives to preserve it.

Scribes copying it so meticulously for hours

So that they too might conserve it.

This Book is Alive!    

Those like Polycarp who refused to worship Caesar

Thus denying the Christ who’d saved him,

Sustained by His Word; enduring Roman seizure

By the great strength that it gave them.

Men such as William Tyndale, who was strangled,

Then burned so that even plowmen,

Could receive God’s Word, without their minds entangled

By the false teaching of foul men.

This Book is Alive!    

Endowed by God with the riches of this blood bought text

Let us not squabble over versions.

But devote ourselves to teaching those who come next

Its truths; avoiding Satan’s diversions.

God’s Word never changes; its precious truths are unending

And it’s valid in all its claims,

But language is dynamic and needs amending

As attested to, in the King James.
